Airey Neave
The end of the war found Airey Neave speaking German, legally qualified, with personal experience of Gestapo interrogation methods and the treatment of their victims through his work for MI6 and MI9. He was asked to work for the British War Crimes Executive team and on 18th October 1945, and although only twenty-nine, to serve the Allied indictments on twenty-one top Nazis awaiting trial in Nuremberg jail. The author felt that it was important that we should not forget and that there were lessons to be learnt by subsequent generations.
